Ranji Trophy: Aneeshwar Gautam grinds his way to maiden ton; Karnataka eye innings win
Karnataka’s Aneeshwar Gautam scored his maiden first-class century against Tripura, making 100 after years of rebuilding his form. Supported by Manvanth Kumar’s 51 and Ritesh Bhatkal’s unbeaten 74, Karnataka declared at 490/9, taking a 296-run lead. Leg-spinner Shreyas Gopal claimed three wickets as Tripura reached 98/3, leaving Karnataka well placed to strengthen their knockout qualification hopes.
